D1

Arrive Delhi Airport- Code DEL Alt. 300 M

Arrive New Delhi airport where you will meet our representative with warm welcome & he will assist you to the hotel for the smooth check in. Have rest & shower after long journey. Later we can visit historical monument if time permits. This is the day when you meet other participants of the tour. Adventure begins with the briefing in the evening.

Delhi to Shimla (By train including Toy Train) (10 Hrs Train Journey) Alt. 2200 M

Early morning around 7:00 Am, you will be transferred to New Delhi railway station to catch morning train to Kalka. On arrival in Kalka, you will enjoy toy train for Shimla. This heritage toy train will stop some stations where you can enjoy the beauty of the mountains in lower Himalaya. Today you will be introduced to our Royal Enfield Motorcycle first time. Shimla is a hill station in north India in Shivalik range of Himalayas. Shimla lies on average elevation of 2200 M where weather remains very pleasant in summer that’s why it is a famous destination for summer time. Shimla had been summer capital of British Empire for few years. Shimla is known for its pleasant weather, scenic beauty of Himalayas, world heritage Kalka-Shimla railway line & much more. We enjoyed our ride to Shimla & arrive in Shimla. On arrival check into the hotel & later we go to Mall road to enjoy dinner.

Shimla to Sarahan (170 Km/ 5-6 Hrs Ride) Alt. 2300 M

After breakfast we head to Sarahan, Sarahan is flanked on the banks of the meandering Sutlej River. The way to Sarahan through Kufri, Fagu, Theog, Narkanda, Rampur, and Jeori is extremely scenic-traversing through mountains flanked by steep cliffs on one side and deep ravines on the other, dense emerald pine forests, terraced farms, and apple orchards. Once in Sarahan, one beholds a range of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks and one of them is the Shrikhand Peak. Arrive at Sarahan & check into the Himachal Government hotel which is very close to famous Bhimakali temple & local market. You can quality walk through the temple & market. Overnight stay at the hotel in Sarahan.

Sarahan to Kalpa (100 Km/ 3-4 Hrs Ride) Alt. 2960 M

After breakfast we ride to Kalpa, Kalpa has all the makings of an Indian Fairyland. At a height of 2960 meters in Himachal Pradesh. It is located at the base of the imposing Kinner Kailash ranges and Shivling peaks which rise upto 20,000 feet, towering above the clouds, kissing the heavens, encircling the area around. Kalpa itself is spread amidst chilgoza forests, apple plantations and the holy deodhars. It is reached after crossing the quaint town of Recong Peo, which has a hundred-year-old monastery. Overnight stay in Guest House.

Kalpa to Tabo (180 Km/ 5-6 Hrs Ride) Alt. 3280 M

Today after breakfast, we get our inner line permits Recong Peo office to visit areas near Indo-China border & we need to register at check post located doffrent places in Spiti Valley. Today there will be change in scenery as we enter into Spiti Valley where scenery changes from green to cold desert. On the way to Tabo, we will see many beautiful Himalayan villages & we have chance to capture many photos & some interactions with locals. On arrival in Tabo, check into the guest house & later visit Tabo monastery. This is small & amazing monastery near Spiti River. Today experience of riding motorcycle in Himalaya will be sure mesmerizing & unforgettable. Overnight stay in the guest house.

Tabo to Kaza (100 Km/ 4-5 Hrs Ride) Alt. 3800 M

Today our ride is going to adventurous & full of various visits of monasteries & high altitude villages. First we visit Dhankar monastery located on the ridge of the mountains from there you have spectacular view of the mountains range & Spiti River. Later we ride higher to the highest village of India called Komic located at 4600 meters altitude where you can send post to your home from world’s highest post office. Later we ride through other high altitude villages like Hikkim & Langza & meet to main road of Kaza. Stay at Kibber village for local Himalayan rural life experience. Overnight stay at local guest house in Kibber with local family.

Kaza to Losar (70 Km/ 2-3 Hrs Ride) Alt. 4090 M

After breakfast we start our Royal Enfield motorcycle & head to most spectacular village of Losar in Spiti Valley. We cross famous suspension bridge called Chicham Bridge, which is above the 1000 feet gap from the gorge. Ride is quite adventurous & offers most amazing views of the green meadows & moon land area . Arrive in Losar & check into the local guest house for overnight stay in Losar. You can have a walk to the village & can take many beautiful photos of the landscape in the valley. Overnight stay in guest house.

Losar to Jispa (Kunzum pass @ 4590 M) (160 Km/ 4-5 Hrs Ride) Alt. 3200 M

After breakfast we heat to Jispa & first we cross Kunzum pass at 4590 meters. Today we have quite rough road & many water crossings on the way to Jispa, Jispa is a small village & getting popularity after Atal tunnel open for all weather connectivity. Jispa is located at 3200 meters altitude near Bhaga River. You can have short walk to the village & river which help you to get acclimatize for the higher altitude destination in Trans-Himalaya region of Ladakh. Overnight stay in Jispa.

Jispa to Tso Kar Lake (Baralacha & Lachungla pass) (220 Km/ 6-7 Hrs Ride) Alt. 4530 M

After breakfast, we ride towards Tso Kar Lake. Tso Kar Lake is a high altitude Lake in Ladakh. It is situated at a height of 4530 M above sea level. Enroute will stop at some place for your photography opportunity. We have few highest passes like Baralacha pass at 4850 meters & then we ride in Sarchu plain area on 4000 meters. After that we cross Nakeela pass & Lachalung La pass at 5059 meters. We enjoy amazing Gata Loops & more plain area with most amazing view of the highty Himalaya. On arrival at Tso Kar, check into the camp at 4530 meters. Overnight stay in camp with amazing view.

Tso Kar Lake to Leh (Tanglangla pass @ 5328 M) (160 Km/ 4-5 Hrs Ride) Alt. 3500 M

After breakfast start your Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle & ride towards World’s 2nd highest pass on Tanglang la pass at 5328 M. We have photography at the pass. Later we ride towards Leh by passing some of the breathtaking villages & road in the mighty Himalayas in Leh & Ladakh region. On arrive at Leh, check into the hotel & relax. Later join us for Dinner in the restaurant in the market area with drinks.

Leh free day or sightseeing

After breakfast, ride for a full day riding to the Indus valley, visit the 14th century Thikse monastery, it is an outstanding specimen of Ladakhi architecture. It is a glorious Buddhist monastery & a marvelous Buddha statue in the seated position is adorning the main prayer hall. Later visit the Hemis monastery- the old monastery in Ladakh. In the last, visit the Royal Stok Palace & museum (Residence of the royal family of Ladakh). Later back to hotel for overnight. Dinner in local restaurant with beers.

Leh to Nubra Valley (Khardungla pass @ 5359 M) (140 Km/ 4-5 Hrs Ride) Alt. 3200 M

After breakfast, ride (140/ 5 hrs) to Nubra Valley Known as Ldumra (the valley of flowers). There is only one road to Nubra valley, journey to Nubra valley goes through the All-weather world’s Highest Motorable Road, Khardungla Pass which is at a height of 5359 M./17982 ft. above sea level and around 39 kms from Leh. View from the top is spectacular. After crossing the pass, you see the main villages of Nubra Valley like Khardung village, Khalsar and Deskit. On arrival in Deskit Village, check into the hotel & rest. Overnight in Deskit.

Nubra Valley to Shara Village via Wari La Pass 5312 M (170 Km/ 5-6 Hrs Ride) Alt. 3600 M

After breakfast, we ride towards Shara village from Nubra Valley by crossing the Wari La Pass at height of 5312 Mtr. Enroute you see the many eye catching views of villages below the pass. Once we come to Leh–Manali highway, we ride mainly along with Indus River with spectacular view of river & mighty Himalayas. On arrival at guest house, check into the hotel & relax. Later we have dinner together in local guest house.

Shara Village to Tso Moriri Lake (160 Km/ 4-5 Hrs Ride) Alt. 4522 M

After early breakfast, ride to Tso Moriri Lake. Tsomoriri Lake is a high altitude Lake in Ladakh. It is situated at a height of 4522 M above sea level. Enroute will stop at Chumtang, which is a hot spring in the village & our break for Tea/Coffee. We will stop to the lake before Tso Moriri Lake. It is also called "White Lake" because of the salt deposited around it- this is because there is no outlet from the lake, which makes the water brackish. On arrival in Tso Moriri, check into the camp & relax. Overnight in camp at Tso Moriri Lake.

Tso Moriri Lake to Leh (230 Km/ 6-7 Hrs Ride) Alt. 3500 M

After breakfast, we ride back to Leh via Tso Kar lake. Today we ride once again to Tanglang la pass & we take same route to reach Leh. You can enjoy your lunch at Thikse monastery restaurant overlooking Thikse monastery, 20 km before Leh. On arrival in Leh, check into the hotel & enjoy free time in Leh by exploring local market near the hotel.

Leh to Delhi (Most scenic flight over Himalaya) 1 Hour flight Alt. 300 M

Morning transfer to Leh airport to board most fascinating flight to Delhi over the heights of the great Himalayas in Ladakh region of India. Arrive Delhi & assistance on transfer to your hotel. You can visit more monuments in Delhi but temperature will be major obstacles as Delhi is quite hot in June, July & August.

Departure to Home

After breakfast you will be transferred to New Delhi International airport for your flight to Home. If you have evening or night flight then you can go for shopping or for sightseeing in Old Delhi and New Delhi. Later you will be transferred to Airport.

Weather/Temperature

Our most Himalayan tours start and end in New Delhi where the temperature can go up to 38-42°C in July/August & September with humidity.

Temperature also varies in Himalayas & low altitude can get up to 30°C. However, they can fall below freezing at high altitudes in the mornings and during the nights.

Please keep in mind that you need to be reasonably fit to participate in our tours.

IMPORTANT: Applicants are advised against participating in any Himalayan tours if they suffer from severe asthma, muscular disorders, respiratory or heart disorders, or any medical precondition which might be detrimental to the health of the participant on a tour which involves spending nights in high altitudes.

Please consult a doctor before booking a Himalayan tour specially High Himalayas over average riding on 4000 meters altitude.

Food & beverages
When travelling through India it is advised to carry your own drinking water that has been obtained from a reliable source (RO/UV water filter) or always drink branded mineral/packaged water.

Water for drinking, brushing teeth or making ice should first be boiled or otherwise always use packed water.

Hygiene
Popular tourist restaurants and hotels will have clean facilities for you to use.

Most of the places we have communications in terms of internet (Wi-Fi), & calling facilities but still there are many places with no communications in high Himalayas in remote region but no worries talk to us we have good stories to tell you about riding, India & share yours with us.
